At the hackathon, you will be competing to win the prizes set by the sponsors of the hackathon

Each prize will be given to the best project falling into the scope of the prize.

Vizzario / VSP prize – 5000 USD:

Scope for Vizzario / VSP prize:

Integration of wearables, including Level (smart frames), eye trackers,  EEG brain sensing with the Vizzario SDK into mobile, PC, and web-based apps and games (including AR/VR), robotic systems, or the Internet of Things.

IEEE Brain Initiative Brain Hackathon prize – 1000 USD
IEEE SMC Brain Hackathon prize – 1000 USD

Scope for both IEEE prizes:

Integration of neurotechnology with the Internet of Things (IoT)
Closed-loop cognitive games (including Virtual/AugmentedReality, VR/AR
Sensor to Cloud Communications and Advanced AI for Analysis
Active control of robotic devices using BMI

Qusp prize – 1000USD

Scope for Qusp prize:

Integration of wearable EEG brain sensing into mobile, PC, and web-based apps and games (including AR/VR), robotic systems, or the Internet of Things using the Qusp NeuroPype or NeuroScale platforms.

Special Challenge

Jack Gallant’s laboratory working on semantic information in natural speech will open their data, and challenge hackers to build decoders – use the data to reconstruct the stories heard by the subjects.
The prize will be given to anyone that will build a better decoder than what the Gallant lab team has available already.
