Business Agility in a Startup World
March 16 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Billons of euros are invested each year into startup companies for growth and improvement. Yet, a very small number of them will become now Outfit7, Tesla, Google or Airbnb. Most companieswere successful at the beginning, made the prototype of product or service and acquired some basic seed capital from Angel investors or VC. Despite valuable management advices and business contacts to stimulate their sales growth, they faced big internal difficulties. With enthusiastic focus on product price margin and appealing pitches to get next founding and/or accelerators acceptance, almost all needed to develop their business agility to prevent slowness in customer and market needs detection and in parallel upgrade and standardize their core processes to manage risk of bad decisions and margin fall.
I had an opportunity to work as a mentor for many startup companies in their early stage and “prevent” them falling into the valley of death. Some real cases from last decade will help you understand what happened and how business agility helped them (supported by LEAN and other BA techniques) to respond rapidly and flexibly to customer demands and adapt change (of processes, of products or services, of organization itself) in a productive and cost-effective way without compromising quality of the service or product.
